I am not going to log on to every user machine out there and manually disable Skype, there MUST be some way to do this for the native client via script or GPO but all I can find online is specifically aimed at disabling Skype for Business or requires you to be logged on to the actual machine you're making the change to.Īgain, I m looking for a way to disable or remove the native Skype client from all of our corporate Windows 10 machines, I am not looking for how to uninstall Skype on a per machine basis and I am not looking for how to disable Skype for Business. Skype for Business is part of the Office 365 suite install, this has been disabled via GPO but the Windows 10 embedded version of Skype is still there and still fires up when a user logs on. I need to remove it from all of our machines because it causes issues with our corporate standard audio/video conference application.
Windows 10 Pro comes with Skype included as part of the base install. Before anyone tells me how to set a GPO to remove/disable Skype for Business, read the title again please.
